Welcome to Ms. Melvin's Teacher Page

I have been teaching for more than 20 years. I’ve taught preschool through 8th Grade. I’ve been a G.A.T.E. teacher, science teacher, PE teacher and a Librarian in the public schools.  I feel that art, music, performance and athletics give our lives passion.  I want my students to use all of their senses to learn about anything and everything.  It looks like play, but our classroom is carefully crafted to immerse students in a subject so they can gain the most information by doing.

College
I attended Foothill and DeAnza colleges, then San Jose State for my social science degree. I received my teaching credential for Cal State Hayward.

I take attendance using Aeries. You can stay on top of attendance through the Aeries Family Portal or Aeries App

I use Aeries to generate report cards. Families can view report cards through the Aeries Family Portal.
