Welcome to Ms. Taylor's Teacher Page

I just finished my 11th year teaching, all but one of those years being in 4th grade. This has been my 5th year at Lorenzo Manor. I am married and have an almost 2 year old son. He keeps me on my toes! In my not-so-abundant free time, I love to garden, cook and bake, crochet and craft, and travel. I love my job and am excited every year to start the adventure with a new group of students.

Inspired by
I am both inspired by my students and by my colleagues. Every year, students inspire me with their amazing ideas and their passions. I love getting to know my kids and learning what inspires them! I work with amazing teachers at Lorenzo Manor. Their creativity in their instruction and their care for their students is inspiring!

College
After graduating from Arroyo HIgh School here in San Lorenzo, I went to the University of California, Davis, where I majored in Evolutionary Anthropology and minored in Education. From there, I went to Saint Mary’s College of California earning my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. I relocated from California to New Mexico for a brief time, and while there I attended the University of New Mexico where I earned a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education, graduating with honors.

I take attendance using Aeries. You can stay on top of attendance through the Aeries Family Portal or Aeries App

Report Cards
I use Aeries to generate report cards.

Google Classroom
I use Google Classroom to have students to complete some assignments.

Other Tools I Use
I email families frequently to communicate regarding things happening in class.
