To all Lorenzo Manor Families,
Welcome back to the 20-21 school year! The school year starts on August 20 through distance learning. Please visit our school website (lor.slzusd.org) or our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/pages/category/Elementary-School/Lorenzo-Manor-Elementary-728215620601480/) for more information.
The schedule for both August 20 (Thursday) and August 21 (Friday) will be 8:30am-8:50am synchronous (with teacher) learning. The rest of the day will be asynchronous (without teacher) learning. Important Dates:
• 9/15- SSC (School Site Council), 4-5pm (email [email protected] for zoom link). We will review the school plan and budget. All are welcome!

• 9/16- ELAC, 1-2pm (email [email protected] for zoom link). We will review our English Learner program. Families of English Learners are encouraged to attend!

• 9/16- Title I Back To School Night, 6-7pm (contact your teacher for link and information). All are welcome!

Lunch: Tuesdays/Thursday, 12:00-12:45pm, Lorenzo Manor Cafeteria

• 9/16 ELAC, 1pm-2pm (email [email protected] para obtenir enlace de zoom). Revisaremos nuestro programa de aprendices de ingles. Se anima a las familias de aprendices de inglés a asistir.

Registration Reminder!

If you have a child who is 5 or will turn 5 in 2020, don’t forget to register for school!

Please enter the applicable information at https://slzusd.aeries.net/enrollment/ and upload the supporting documents (birth certificate, parent/guardian photo ID, proof of residence, physical, dental, immunizations, etc.)

If you have a child who is a returning student, please update/confirm information in the Aeries Parent Portal as well: https://familyportal.slzusd.k12.ca.us

IMPORTANT UPDATE--CHROMEBOOKS AND SUPPLIES

Chromebook Distribution:

Wednesday, August 26, 1-3pm, Grades TK-K

Thursday, August 27, 1-3pm, Grades 1-5 for:
• New students
• Returning students who did not get a chromebook last spring
• Returning students who need to exchange. If you are exchanging your chromebook, you must bring your old chromebook with the charger.

Supplies:

Thursday, August 27, 1-3pm we will have a supplies pick up in front of the school. If your child is to be included in this pick up, your teacher will contact you. If you haven’t received communication from your teacher by end of the day Wednesday, please reach out to your classroom teacher to confirm pickup.

Distribución de Chromebooks:

Miercoles, 26 de agosto, 1-3pm, Grados TK-K

Jueves, 27 de Agosto, 1-3 pm, Grados 1-5 para:
• Nuevos estudiantes
• Estudiantes que regresan y que no recibieron un Chromebook en la primavera pasada
• Estudiantes que regresan y necesitan intercambiar. Si va a cambiar su Chromebook, debe traer
su antiguo Chromebook con el cargador.

Utiles:

El jueves 27 de agosto, 1- 3 pm, recogeremos los útiles frente a la escuela. Si su hijo va a ser incluido en esta recogida, su maestro se comunicará con usted. Si no ha recibido comunicación de su maestro al final del día miércoles, comuníquese con el maestro de su aula para confirmar la recogida.
